Carol Stanley Aaron's love of beauty and photography is inspired by her father, an amateur photographer and professional Lithographer.  Although they moved around a lot, there was always a dark room in the house and photos on the wall.  As a result she  seeks refuge in beauty, both in the exciting inspiration it gives her, but also in the deep pleasure she finds as she loses herself in the process of making.    Wax, oils and photography provide a template for the a play of light and color, for layers and translucence and open up major possibilities in fine art encaustic.
